How does booking at Campbert work?

Booking is fully online via our website. You choose your pitch on the interactive map, enter your travel dates and complete payment by credit card or SEPA directly. There is no reception — check-in is digital via a personal access code sent to you by email 24 hours before arrival.

From what time is check-in possible?

Check-in is possible from 11:30. Thanks to the digital barrier code, you can arrive in the evening or at night — the time does not matter. The code activates from 11:30 on your arrival day.

By when do I need to check out on departure day?

Check-out is by 11:00. After 11:00 the pitch is released for the next guest. Early check-out before 11:00 is possible at any time.

How do I reach the campsite?

Campbert is located on a high plateau above Schladming, on the road towards Rohrmoos (8971). Access is via the Alpineweg. A link to Google Maps and a detailed route description can be found on our homepage and on the booking detail page. Schladming train station is 1.5 km away, reachable on foot in approximately 15 minutes.

Can I book at short notice?

Yes, bookings are possible up to the day of arrival — as long as the desired pitch is available. In peak season (July, August, Nightrace week in January) we recommend booking early, as pitches are in high demand.

Is there a minimum stay?

There is no minimum stay. A single night is just as possible as a multi-week stay.

How many pitches does Campbert have?

Campbert has 23 pitches, suitable for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents. All pitches are level, gravel-surfaced, have electricity connections and panoramic views of the Dachstein massif.

Is electricity available at every pitch?

Yes. Every pitch has a 230 V CEE 16 A electricity connection. Electricity is included in the nightly rate — no coin meter, no separate billing.

Is there Wi-Fi at the campsite?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available across the entire site. Login details are included in your welcome email after booking.

What sanitary facilities are there?

The central service building contains showers, WC facilities, a washing machine and a dishwashing area. Hot water is included. The facilities are accessible daily from early morning until evening.

Is there a motorhome service point?

Yes. A disposal station for grey water, black water and cassette toilets is centrally located on the site and accessible daily.

Is Campbert open all year?

Yes. Campbert is open 365 days a year — including winter. This makes skiing holidays with your own vehicle right next to the Planai base station possible, as well as winter hiking, cross-country skiing and Christmas market visits.

What is included in the overnight price?

Included in the price: pitch fee, electricity (230 V), Wi-Fi, use of all sanitary facilities (showers, WC, washbasins), disposal station and tourist tax. There are no hidden extra charges.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Payment is made during online booking by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or SEPA direct debit via payment provider Stripe. No further payments are required on site — everything is settled with the booking. Cash payment is not possible.

Can I cancel my booking free of charge?

Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the arrival date. After that, the full amount is retained. Bookings made within the last 7 days before arrival are generally non-refundable.

Are dogs allowed at the campsite?

Yes, dogs are warmly welcome — at no extra charge. We ask that you keep your dog on a lead within the site and clean up after them immediately. Fresh water is available at the sanitary building.

How far is the Planai gondola from the campsite?

The Planai base station is about a 10-minute walk from Campbert. In winter a ski path leads directly from the campsite to the base station — you can walk in ski boots or with skis on your shoulder.

Is winter camping possible at Campbert?

Yes. Campbert is open year-round — including in winter. The sanitary facilities are heated, electricity is available at every pitch, and the barrier works with the digital code even in sub-zero temperatures.
